Los adverbios de frecuencia en inglés se utilizan con el SIMPLE PRESENT y expresan la frecuencia con la que realizamos una acción, desde el 100% (ALWAYS) al 0% (NEVER). (ALWAYS) al 0% (NEVER). al 0% (NEVER).

LA COLOCACIÓN DE LOS ADVERBIOS DE FRECUEN ADVERBIOS DE FRECUENCIA ES LA SIGUIENTE:
1) DETRÁS VERBO “TO BE”O AUXILIARES O AUXILIARES :
I AM ALWAYS WORRIED BEFORE AN EXAM.

2) DELANTE DEL VERBO PRINCIPAL:

- HOW OFTEN:
Para preguntar la frecuencia con que se realiza una acción en inglés se utiliza la expresión HOW OFTEN…? al principio de la pregunta.
EJEMPLOS:
HOW OFTEN do you go to the gym? I USUALLY go to the gym
HOW OFTEN do you eat dinner out? I SOMETIMES eat dinner out.
HOW OFTEN do you speak English? I RARELY speak English.
Ejercicio:
Cada una de las frases siguientes contiene un error. Encuéntralo y corrígelo.
1. I always am happy when I finish work early.
2. Susan has been never to Thailand.
3. Gerald needs to take his medication three times for day.

El segundo grupo de adverbios se compone de dos o más palabras, suelen ser expresiones hechas y casi siempre van al final de la frase. Estos adverbios son:
- Once a week – una vez a la semana
- Twice a week – dos veces por semana
- Three times a week – a partir de tres, indicamos el número y la palabra times, veces.
- Every day – todos los días (podemos cambiar day por every year, every month, etc)
- On Mondays – los lunes
- On Tuesday mornings – los martes por la mañana (aquí puedes cambiar mornings por evenings, afternoons, etc)
- At the weekend – los fines de semana
- Most X – la mayoría de …
Aquí tienes algunas expresiones extra que suelen utilizar los nativos, más naturales que las estándar:
- From time to time: de vez en cuando
- Day after day – día tras día
- Day in, day out – todos los días, sin excepción
- Every other day – día sí, día no
